World Diabetes Day recap

Small Steps for Big Changes at UBC Okanagan hosted a series of events last week leading up to World Diabetes Day on Nov 14, 2021. Thank you to all who participated, watched, learned, & played with us last week!

We hosted the following free community events from Nov 8-14:

  • “Holiday Eating 101: Tips, Tricks, & Toasts” seminar at the public library
  • Try the Y at our local YMCA of Okanagan
  • YMCA@Home – virtual fitness classes
  • Zumba with guest instructor Kaleigh Hole online
  • Pickleball with guest instructor Carlos at Kelowna Family YMCA
  • Cooking class with guest instructor Kelsey Oudendag at Okanagan College
  • Finale event at Rowcliffe Park
